Sunday’s first game started out good for UCO. While down 2-1 going into the top of the sixth, the Bronchos started out with a walk by Ty Hammack. He would then steal second and advance to third on a throwing error. That set up men at the corners after an Orlando Gonzalez walk. Ty Chapman then got a bunt down on the first base line bringing in Hammack and advancing Gonzalez to second, tying the game at two. Drake Lee would then single on a liner to right field, advancing Gonzalez to third. Lee would then steal second on the first pitch of the next batter, allowing Gonzalez to steal home and take the 3-2 lead. The next inning, Washburn led off with a home run over the right field wall tying it back up at three. The game would then go to extras and after the Bronchos did not score in the top half of the 10th,  the Ichabods hit a sac fly that scored the winning run taking the game 4-3.

Game two of the doubleheader ended before it got started as the Ichabods jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The second inning came around and after another scoreless half the Bronchos gave up five giving the Ichabods a big 9-0 lead. After UCO punched a few across making it a 4-9 deficit in the 6th. The Bronchos never got over the hump and lost 5-10.

Central Oklahoma continues the road MIAA games next week as they play three at Emporia State. The Bronchos will have their first MIAA game at home when the Pittsburg State Gorillas visit in two weeks.
