Heard on Hurd: Keeping Edmond Local for 12 Seasons

Heard on Hurd is a seasonal street festival in downtown Edmond that is celebrating its twelfth season this year with food trucks, local retail stores, and local live performing artists.
The festival, sponsored by the Citizens Bank of Edmond, happens every third Saturday of the month, from 6 to 10 pm, and will end on October 18th, 2025, until the new season starts in March of 2026.
“Heard on Hurd has a huge impact on Edmond, bringing thousands of people downtown every month, causing it to also be a big boost for local businesses and food trucks”, says Whitney Randall, senior vice president and Director of Small Business and entrepreneurial engagement at the Citizens Bank of Edmond.
“It has been exciting to see downtown Edmond come alive in the past 12 years,” Randall added.
The impact of Heard on Hurd is so large that the festival brings in over 1 million attendees across the city of Edmond and other surrounding big metro cities like Oklahoma City, Moore, and Norman. Over 2000 local vendors are sponsored in Heard on Hurd, making it a bigger impact for the Edmond community.
“I think what makes Heard on Hurd unique is that it has such a strong focus on being truly local –local musicians, local food trucks, local shops, and it all happens right in the heart of downtown Edmond,” said Randall.
“At the heart of our team is the belief that community bankers should give back and invest in the place we call home. Heard on Hurd is one of the best ways we can do that, because it creates such meaningful connections between businesses, vendors, and neighbors. It takes a lot to make it happen – on just the Saturday of the event, we have about 25 employees putting in more than 50 hours to keep things running smoothly.”
Randall continued, “You can feel the energy and pride in Edmond growing stronger after each month.”
