Women’s Volleyball Went 1-1 This Weekend, Experiencing First Loss of the Season.
The University of Central Oklahoma women’s volleyball team fell short 3-1 against Central Missouri Saturday afternoon, resulting in their first loss of the season.
Central Oklahoma started off winning the first set 25-19, but that would remain the only set against UCM they would end up keeping control of. The Mules fought back, winning the next three sets 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

The Bronchos carried out a total of 19 attack errors with 6 of those being committed in the third set alone. Central Missouri finished the game with a .291 hitting percentage. This is the highest UCO has allowed an opponent so far this season, with Texas Women’s having the second highest hitting percentage against The Bronchos at .177.
Senior outside hitter Sydney Huck led the team in kills with a season-high 18, beating her previous in-game record by two.
Lindsey Houran was the team’s leading performer in assists, with 43. The senior setter is currently in third place on UCO’s all-time assists list with 4,653.
This was the second end of back-to-back home games this past weekend as UCO also hosted Missouri Southern Thursday evening.
The Bronchos started off slow, but ultimately ended up adding the lions to their collection as the 15th team they have swept this season. Central Oklahoma won the three sets 25-20, 25-14, 25-13.
UCO will be back in action this weekend where they will host another two game series Friday and Saturday against Northwest Missouri and Missouri Western at Hamilton Field House.
