UCO Football Defeats Washburn 34-28

The Bronchos delivered a hard fought victory against the Washburn Ichabod’s Saturday Night in a 34-28 victory.

UCO’s defense shut Washburn down early and immediately after the defense left the field, UCO turned the ball over with an interception. The first play of offense and Washburn capitalized and scored the very next play to show UCO they are not here to play around.

Central Oklahoma racked up over 533 total offensive yards with Redshirt Freshman Clayton Creasey throwing for 296 passing yards and two touchdowns. It was a tough battle all 4 quarters, but Joseph Kim connected with an amazing 51-yard field goal to take the Bronchos to victory.

The Bronchos are now 2-0 in conference and are on the road to face Northwest Missouri this week. Fans are calling it the Adam Dorrel bowl because that is where he has previously coached and won national championships.
