Central Oklahoma Ends Season With a 54-10 Blowout Over Missouri Western
In a performance that echoed their championship past, the Central Oklahoma Bronchos closed the 2025 regular season in emphatic fashion, rolling over Missouri Western 54-10 on the road at Spratt Stadium this past Saturday afternoon.

The win, combined with a string of strong performances late in the year, vaulted UCO to a 6-5 overall record and 6-3 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), securing a third-place finish in the league standings. It was a game that showcased explosive ground attack, surgical passing, and a defense that bent but rarely broke when the stakes were highest.
The Bronchos wasted no time stamping their authority. In just two and a half minutes, UCO had stormed out to a 7-0 lead, signaling that Missouri Western would be chasing from the opening kickoff. The early domination set the tone for a day in which Central dictated both pace and physicality.
By the end of the first quarter, UCO held a slim 7-3 edge, but the second quarter would tell the story of the afternoon. A 21-0 burst for the Bronchos turned the game from a competitive tilt into a showcase of UCO’s depth and execution.
Missouri Western entered week 11 boasting a stingy rush defense, allowing just 112 rushing yards per game. UCO’s ground attack flipped the script, piling up 255 rushing yards as a unit. The star of the day was sophomore Dev Mathews, who carried 14 times for 132 yards and crossed the goal line three times. The breakout performance by Dev Mathews anchored a crisp, overpowering sequence in the quarter that widened the gap and left Missouri Western’s defense chasing shadows.
Jett Huff was not just a bystander on a run-heavy day. He threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns on 15 of 24 passing, spreading the ball to five different receivers. The connection with senior tight end Dominique Dunn was particularly productive, with Dunn having 3 touchdowns. The passing game complemented the relentless ground assault, making UCO’s offense a formidable one-two punch.
If the offense set the tone, the defense delivered the exclamation point. UCO clamped down on Missouri Western and forced four interceptions, one of several standout stat lines that defined the afternoon. The defense limited Western to 216 yards of total offense, a testament to disciplined pursuit and playmaking in the back seven.
With this win, Central Oklahoma recorded back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since the 2017-18 seasons.
