This Month’s Edmond Patriot Market Set to Kick Off

The monthly community event “Edmond Patriot Market” will offer a full day of local vendors and community activities.

The event hosted by the Francis E. Hamilton VFW Post and Auxiliary will take place on Nov. 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is free for the public to attend.

The event is structured to give small businesses a reliable place to showcase their products, meet customers face to face, accept commissions, and even arrange future pickups.

“Many of our vendors operate home-based or handmade-focused businesses, and the market gives them consistent visibility and support from the Edmond community,” said event coordinator Amanda Duncan.

“It is a way to uplift small businesses and strengthen community connections, all while supporting the ongoing work of our VFW Post and Auxiliary to support veterans, active military, and the community we have proudly been a part of for over 80 years,” she continued.

For this month, the market will be partnering with the Downtown Edmond Business Association. Visitors can expect a very wide variety of handmade goods and local products, along with food trucks, festive decorations, and a designated photo location for Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Families and individuals visiting downtown to explore local shops can stop by the post to take pictures and enjoy the holiday atmosphere while supporting local small businesses. 

“We try to add elements that make each month feel a little different. There is always something to discover, and the variety is one of the things that makes the market enjoyable for returning visitors each month,” she said.

Vendor fees remain set at $25 per booth. Duncan explains the price is intentionally low to keep the market accessible for startup businesses and home-based makers. 

“We want to make sure people aren’t priced out of participating, especially if they’re trying a market for the first time,” she stated.

Nonprofit and community groups may also be present to share information with visitors, a recurring feature of the market.
