Concerts Coming to Oklahoma City in July

Oklahoma City will have different concerts throughout July featuring big name artists such as Twenty One Pilots, Weezer, Blink-182, and also up-and-coming artists  such as Hillsong and Migos, while also featuring underground artist Pauya.

Twenty One Pilots will be performing at the Zoo Amphitheater July 9. They are currently on their Emotional Roadshow Tour, which began May 31st in Cincinnati. They will do a total of 107 shows, 81 of which will be in the U.S. Other stops will be in Canada, Europe and Australia. Twenty One Pilots will be joined by special guests Mutemath and Chef’ Special. The musical duo’s last official release was their 2015 “Blurryface,” their first #1 album.

Weezer and Panic! At the Disco will be at the Zoo Amphitheater July 16. Weezer is best known for their 1995 single “Say It Ain’t So” and 2005’s “Beverly Hills.” They are promoting their newest album “White Album.” Panic! at the Disco is best known for their 2006 single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” and are promoting their “Death of a Bachelor” album. The two bands will be joined by special guest Atlas Genius.

Hillsong United will perform at the Chesapeake Arena July 22. The Australian-based worship group is on the second leg of their “Empires” tour, which started back on April 28. Joel Houston, worship leader of Hillsong, said the group is excited to be performing in the U.S. “Empires” is Hillsong’s fourth and most recent studio album released in May 2015.

“We can’t wait to worship with people singing all the new ‘Empires’ songs, as well as everyone’s favorites.”

This will be Hillsong United’s first real tour in the U.S. since their WelcomeZion 2013 tour. They hope to turn the concert venues into nights of worship and music with their fans.

“Our hope always has been that people bring someone who doesn’t know Jesus and who might not feel comfortable in a church but would be okay with going to an arena,” said Taya Smith of Hillsong United.  The band will be joined by special guest Lauren Daigle.

Pouya will be performing at the ACM@UCO Performance Lab July 24. Part of His “Underground Underdog” Tour, the Miami rapper will be joined by special guests Germ, Ramires and Shakewell. Pouya released his debut album “Underground Underdog” April 29, 2016.

Blink-182 and The All-American Rejects will be performing at the Chesapeake Arena July 28. The tour is to promote the release of their upcoming album “California,” which is set to be released July 1. The tour, which begins July 22, will take the band through nearly 50 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. A Day to Remember will join the band as a special guest on all tour dates, while The All-American Rejects will join only on select dates.

Migos will be performing at the Farmer’s Market July 29. Migos started gaining popularity in 2013 with their single “Versace,” inspiring fellow rapper Drake to do the official remix of the song. July 2015 the Migos released their official debut album “YRN,” which was led by the single “One Time.”
